The course then looks at the four steps that lead to addiction and the affects of Drug addiction. An Introduction to Disciplining Students in the Teen Challenge Program

This one hour training provides a basic introduction for new staff on the Teen Challenge point of view in disciplining students in the residential program. How to appropriately discipline students is one of the most challenging responsibilities staff face in Teen Challenge. This course provides a biblical foundation for this issue and also gives a sample discipline report form that can be used in processing a student being disciplined.

Discipline for Change

Following Christ requires certain "disciplines" as will be outlined in this course. In a structured institutional setting, when residents do not follow prescribed rules and standards of behavior discipline, they need to be motivated towards change. Thus the name of this course is entitled DISCIPLINE FOR CHANGE. If students leave the residential program unchanged, the program has been a failure, and the biblical principles of discipleship have not been applied.

Meth Project

The Meth Project Foundation was established by businessman Thomas M. Siebel in 2005 in response to the growing Meth epidemic in the U.S. The Meth Project is a large-scale prevention program aimed at reducing Meth use through public service messaging, public policy, and community outreach. Central to the program is a research-based marketing campaign and community action programs designed to communicate the risks of Meth use. The Meth Project is funded by a grant from the Thomas and Stacey Siebel Foundation.

Organizing PSNC Units for Growth

Relapse

Understanding the Steps to Relapse

Edition: 2.4. This course examines the issues of relapse, addiction, recovery and healthy living. It discusses 37 symptoms of relapse and ways to prevent relapse from happening. It presents the characteristics that lead to addiction and life-controlling problems. It then goes on to speak about recovery and healthy living and what healthy living should look like. The videos available are bi-lingual, Spanish and English. Of the 5 video sessions, one is missing #4. We plan to have that available in the next few months.

This is typically a 6 month period after the student has completed the Teen Challenge residential recovery program.
